Resources Required: Rocky Textures & Sparkle Brushes
In this Adobe Photoshop CS5 tutorial, we’ll be using a rocky texture to create an underwater seaweed text effect in Photoshop. This is a very unique tutorial that uses textures I’ve never used before and a combination of colours that complement each other well. The effect is enchanting and a little magical, possibly the right medium to develop upon, creating a poster or some type of digital art: the kinds of art that needs to be visually enticing and themed. Post your example on our Facebook for an honourable mention, let’s see who can create the best example...
Brushes In Set: 12

Resources Required: Adobe Photoshop CS & Gimp
So, this is yet another Brush Set sample from AxeRaider70, who in my opinion makes the best damn Brush Packs ever in existence. I suppose blood brushes are very common but this one is very slashy and may bring something else to the table in this particular category of brushing. To go in another direction though, I’ve used this brush set in my upcoming Underwater Seaweed Text Effect tutorial, which was a very bizarre experimentation, but it works extremely well, so don’t forget to check that out and also take a look at more of AxeRaider70’s brushes. They are amazeballs...

Resources Required: A Selected Photo
Monochrome, or the term monochromatic, generally refers to a single colour, or range of hues, shades or tones of the same colour. Monochromes of neutral colours are more commonly known as Grayscale or even simply Black & White. This is what we'll be creating: a black and white illustration with selective colouring. I have an example photograph that I will be working on, however this effect can be applied to anything. The final image has a dreamy children's book feel to it. If you're using a different image for this tutorial, some of these settings might need to be altered slightly to suit...

Resources Required: 3 Near-Duplicates Of A Photograph
In this Adobe Photoshop CS5 tutorial, I'll be showing you how to create a dramatic forest setting with a duplicated, supernatural-looking human in the photo. The woodland landscape effect will appear eerie and creepy after being manipulated from a totally normal forest photo. Creepy no? We have three photos, each with the same person standing at a different tree. We will be merging them together to make it seem like there are three of the same person. Obviously, you are welcome to use your own images, in which case I’d recommend using a tripod when you snap your shots...

Resources Required: A Blood Brush Download
In this Adobe Photoshop CS5 tutorial, we'll be creating an illustration based on a rough textured background that I found on the internet. Make sure you use a royalty free image. By scanning your own hand, or elsewhere finding a photo of a hand, we'll be making it pale, creepy, eaten by a zombie, and then covered in blood to resemble a scary horror scene photo manipulation effect. This is the first of three graphic instalments for our Halloween tutorial bonanza! You'll need to download a scratched metal textured background and couple of Photoshop blood brushes to complete this tutorial...
