In this Adobe Photoshop CS5 tutorial I'll show you how to create a basic moon from scratch, and then how to add colours to the shape and make it appear how the earth does. You can use the knowledge from this to go and create the sun (well, it's actually a star, but yeah) or any other planet you desire. Adding the shadows is the most important factor in this tutorial. If you would like the outcome to be more realistic, be very careful and brush with excessive detail. This effect can be amazingly awesome when you combine it with orb-like lighting and space & stars themed backgrounds...
