PSD Tutorial: How To Duplicate A Human In A Dramatic Forest
In this Adobe Photoshop CS5 tutorial, I'll be showing you how to create a dramatic forest setting with a duplicated, supernatural-looking human in the photo. The woodland landscape effect will appear eerie and creepy after being manipulated from a totally normal forest photo. Creepy no? We have three photos, each with the same person standing at a different tree. We will be merging them together to make it seem like there are three of the same person. Obviously, you are welcome to use your own images, in which case I’d recommend using a tripod when you snap your shots.
If you don't have Photoshop, or you want to upgrade to the new CS5.5 Version, take a look at the Adobe Special Offers from the Adobe Store. If you're new to Photoshop, we have some beginner articles and basic tips coming very soon for some of the lesser established designers, which teaches you how to use the basic features of Photoshop, such as Blending Modes, Layer Styles, Text Tools, Cropping/Slicing, Image Adjustments, Brushing, Filters and Photoshop Actions.

Photoshop Tutorial Step 1: Duplicating Our Little Human Friend
1.1. Cut the person out of one photo and place them into the other one. Do this as many times as you want to create more people.
1.2. With the eraser, and a soft brush, go around the edges, and now it should look authentically realistic.

Photoshop Tutorial Step 2: Manipulating The Mysterious Forest Landscape
2.1. Duplicate your image (Ctrl + J) and change the Blending Mode to Soft Light.
2.2. Now, add Filter » Blur » Gaussian Blur with 5px-30px (depending on image size).
2.3. Find Image » Adjustments » Brightness/Contrast. Make the Brightness -150 and the Contrast +50, and then Merge Visible.
2.4. Finally, select Image » Adjustments » Hue/Saturation and lower the Saturation by 60.
2.5. In this Photo, I've cropped it to make it more horizontal.
2.6. Add a Layer » Layer Style » Inner Shadow with 75% Opacity, 0px Distance, 0% Choke and 250px Size.

Photoshop Tutorial Step 3: Finalising The Mysterious & Creepy Effects
3.1. Here, you can use a black soft brush with an appropiate opacity to darken anything you want, aka, the grass area.
3.2. Repeat the Duplicate - Soft Light - Lower Saturation - Inner Shadow - Merge Visible step again to intensify the Photo Effect.
3.3. Don't intensify the lower Saturation step too much, and don't use the Guassian Blur effect.
3.4. Also, lower the Opacity of the Inner Shadow this time too.
